Benefitting The Newton Food Pantry
CHESTNUT HILL, MASSACHUSETTS (November 2023) – Chestnut Hill Square is collecting much needed food and personal care items to benefit the Newton Food Pantry now through November 19, 2023. Items collected will be used to stock the shelves of the food pantry and support their goal of alleviating food insecurity in Newton by providing supplemental food and personal care products to community members in need.
Suggested food items include cereal, hearty soups, oatmeal, pasta and more. In addition, the Newton Food Pantry needs personal care items including deodorant, toothpaste and individually packaged toothbrushes, shampoo/conditioner, and more. Donations can be dropped off at Starbucks. For a complete list of items needed, or to make a monetary donation, visit ChestnutHillSquare.com.
"As the number of Newton Food Pantry clients continues to increase, along with rising prices and on-going inventory shortages, we depend on food drives organized by our community partners to provide for the 300 households we serve every week,” says Sindy Wayne, Vice President, Newton Food Pantry.
“Chestnut Hill Square is pleased to support The Newton Food Pantry on this annual donation drive,” says Rebekah Macchia, Marketing Director for Chestnut Hill Square. “This vital donation drive provides much needed support to our neighbors in need,” she adds.
